Derby County midfielder Krystian Bielik has been named the GMS Fans’ Championship Player of the Month for December after winning an impressive 45% of the public vote.
The Rams started to turn their fortunes around last month and the return of Bielik, who had missed the start of the campaign due to injury, was integral to their upturn in form.
The Poland international dominated the midfield for Wayne Rooney’s side, including winning 36 aerial duels, and was a positive force with the ball at his feet – often driving his side up the pitch and even finding the net once himself.
Bielik has been rewarded for his excellent performances with the GMS Fans’ Championship Player of the Month award for December, having received 45% of the public vote.
Luton Town’s Glen Rea received the second-highest share of the public vote, 20%, followed by Brentford’s Sergi Canos with 13%.
Also nominated were Norwich City’s Emi Buendia (who received 12% of the public vote), Bournemouth’s Asmir Begovic (9%), and Barnsley’s Michal Helik (2%).
