Barnsley defender Michał Helik has been named the Fans’ Championship Player of the Month for February after winning an outstanding 60% of the public vote.
The Tykes are on a remarkable run that has seen them emerge as play-off contenders and the performances of Helik have been key to that.
The central defender was in dominant form last month, helping Barnsley keep three clean sheets and grabbing a goal himself.
He’s become a reliable figure at the heart of Valerien Ismael’s backline and looks set to play a vital role as they look to maintain their play-off push.
Helik has been rewarded with his performances by being named the FLW Fans’ Player of the Month for February after winning a mammoth 60% of the public vote.
Watford’s Daniel Bachmann received the second-largest share with 19%, followed by Brentford marksman Ivan Toney with 10%.
Cardiff City striker Kieffer Moore (5%), Nottingham Forest defender Cyrus Christie (4%) and Norwich City playmaker Emi Buendia (2%) were also nominated for the award.
